Took some time today to reflect on this blog and remember lessons that were given to me. I was really struck by how much I was learning two years ago and the richness of this period. I had so much to write down and work through. I was getting to know so many new artists and new skills. I discovered
Shibastik and
beaded my first full sized piece. I was finally able to start thinking through
Kim Anderson's book "A Recognition of Being" and attempted to situate that next to my
favorite Judith Butler lecture. I even got to challenge myself to appreciate my
post-crisis privilege. Which honestly is a lesson that I need as I feel sorry for myself after the challenges of the past year.
