Rainbow Bridge - Our Missing

As I worked with our youths over the past few years I was also reading the headlines of more missing Indigenous peoples. Would one of these youths become the next loss? Who was missing from our circles of learning? We cannot tell our stories of economy and resilience without including our missing. This doll is my dialogue with Auntie Wendy-bah (Metis) about this loss. The bridge is a rainbow made of beads. The symbolisms with the doll reflect the teachings of this spirit journey from Basil Johnston (Wendat), Anishinaabe Nokomis Martina Osawamick and Elder Barbara Brant (Mohawk).
